We\u2019ve listed some of the most common shortcuts that you might use during your day-to-day duties in Microsoft Excel.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>You can even print out this blog article and use it as a resource throughout the workday! That way, you\u2019ll have a quick reference should you ever need one.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cut: Ctrl + X<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Copy: Ctrl + C<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Paste: Ctrl + V<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Open a Workbook: Ctrl + O<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Close a Workbook: Ctrl + W<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Save a Workbook: Ctrl + S<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Undo: Ctrl + Z<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Navigate between cells and menu options: Arrow Keys<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Expand\/Collapse Ribbon: Ctrl + F1<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Move to the beginning of the worksheet: Ctrl + Home<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Move to the next sheet in the workbook: Ctrl + Page Down<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Move to the previous sheet in the workbook: Ctrl + Page Up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Entering Information in Cells<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to add information into cells, there are various shortcuts to doing so as well:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Enter the current time: Ctrl + Shift + :<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Enter the current date: Ctrl + ;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the General Number format: Ctrl + Shift + ~<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the Currency format with two decimal places: Ctrl + Shift + $<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the Percentage format with no decimal places: Ctrl + Shift + %<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the Scientific number format with two decimal places: Ctrl + Shift + ^<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the Date format with the day, month, and year: Ctrl + Shift + #<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the Time format with the hour and minute, and AM or PM: Ctrl + Shift + @<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Apply the Number format with two decimal places, thousands separator, and minus sign for negative values: Ctrl + Shift + !<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This only scratches the surface of what Excel is capable of.
